The Role
Most companies in trust & safety sound the same. Dense, defensive, forgettable. We want to be the one that doesn't.
This role exists to make Besedo turn heads — in the feeds our buyers scroll, at the events they attend, in the conversations they're already having about AI, compliance, and what it actually takes to keep a platform safe. Your job is to take the marketing strategy and make something people actually stop for.
You're a storyteller first. You make things — videos, posts, decks, event moments, press pitches — and you make sure they reach the right people. AI is already part of how you work, because you figured out it makes your output better and faster. You're comfortable being the only creative in the room and you don't need a team or agency behind you to produce work you're proud of.
Why this matter
Trust and safety used to be a back-office function. It's now part of the strategy conversation.
Digital platforms — marketplaces, dating apps, classifieds, communities — run on user-generated content: the listings, profiles, messages, reviews, and posts that users create. That content is also where the harm happens. Scams, fraud, harassment, illegal goods, CSAM, manipulated images. AI has made all of it easier to produce and harder to catch, and the volume is past what human teams can review alone.
Besedo has been protecting users for over twenty years, long before it was a category. That hasn't changed but our platform has. We're building the marketing function to make sure the right people hear it — and that's where this role comes in.
Key Responsibilities
Thought leadership — work with our Head of Marketing, CEO, CCO, and subject matter experts to turn their expertise into content that earns attention. Conference talks, industry reports, bylines, podcasts — and pitch them to get Besedo into the conversations that matter.
Events & webinars — run Besedo's event presence and webinars end-to-end. Logistics, content, speaker prep, promotion, follow-up.
Video & creative content — produce short-form video and visual assets. Talking-head clips, event coverage, animated posts, webinar trailers.
LinkedIn end-to-end. Write it, film it, design it, post it.
Distribution — getting something made is half the job. You know how to make sure it actually reaches people.
Brand consistency — the internal reference point for how Besedo looks and sounds across every external touchpoint.
What we're looking for
A natural storyteller who works across formats — written, visual, video — without losing the thread of what makes something worth paying attention to.
Hands-on creative range: you can film and edit a short video, design a social asset, and write a press pitch in the same week without breaking a sweat.
Comfortable with direct outreach — pitching our experts onto podcasts, stages, and content collaborations, plus traditional press when it's the right fit.
Experience running events and webinars end-to-end.
Skilled at working with senior subject matter experts — turning what's in their heads into content that earns reach and credibility.
Self-directed and used to building from scratch in lean teams. You know what that actually involves and you've done it before.
Disciplined and delivery-focused — you hit your cadence, flag issues early, and don't let things slip quietly.
Native level / fluency in English.
Icing on the cake
Familiarity with trust & safety, content moderation, AI, or digital compliance.
Basic SEO fundamentals.
Existing relationships with European tech, compliance, or marketplace media.
Additional European languages — German, French, or Spanish.
